Employers
The Training Fund Authority (TFA) is providing training incentives to eligible employers who commence a first year Australian Apprentices in 2010 under an ACT Contract of Training in the following nominated trades.

Certificate III in Furniture Making (Cabinet Making)
and receive incentives up to $4,000
$2,000 three months after the commencement date of the
apprenticeship
$2,000 on completion of the first 12 months of the apprenticeship
In addition, the Federal Government provides a range of financial incentives to employers through Australian Apprenticeships. For further information on Federal Government incentives, contact your Australian Apprenticeship Centre.
Note: Where the employer is an ACT Group Training Organisation (GTO), the Training Fund Authority incentives are equally divided between the GTO and the host employer.

Additional Funding
Furthermore, if an apprentice falls within one of the following groups, additional funding may apply.
- Indigenous Australians: A total of $2000 as an access and equity incentive. The first payment of $1000 is made 3 months after commencement and the balance is paid upon completion of the 12 months.
- Women in non-traditional vocations: A total of $4000 as an access and equity incentive. The first payment of $2000 is made 3 months after commencement and the balance is paid upon completion of the 12 months.
- Workers with a disability: A one-off access and equity incentive of $1000, payable 3 months after commencement.
